OPEN RECORDS
Open Records Requests may be filed in accordance with O.C.G.A. 50-18-71. Public records maintained by the school are available for inspection and copying unless specifically exempt from disclosure by law. 

Response to Requests

Scintilla Charter Academy will respond to Open Records Requests in accordance with Georgia law. When responsive records are available, they generally must be provided within a reasonable amount of time not to exceed three business days. If the records cannot be produced within three business days, SCA will provide a written response explaining when the records will be available, any estimated costs, and any applicable legal exemptions.

Fees

Fees may apply for the search, retrieval, redaction, copying, or production of records as permitted by the Georgia Open Records Act. If applicable, SCA will provide an estimate of anticipated costs before fulfilling a request when required by law.

Protected or Exempt Information

Some records or portions of records are confidential or exempt from public disclosure under state or federal law. This may include certain student records, personnel information, medical information, and other legally protected information. Any exempt information will be withheld or redacted as required by law.To submit an Open Records Request, please complete the Open Records Request Form.
